Lynn Forbes proud to have made it to December

by Sergio Miller

Every mother longs to have her entire family around the Christmas table this time of the year.

While the festive season is often associated with family, joy and the exchanging of gifts – this year will be different for the Forbes family who lost their son Kiernan (popularly known by his stage name, AKA) in a shooting incident in February this year.

After his sudden passing his mother Lynn, meanwhile, has experienced mixed emotions throughout the year hinting that there are times where she was strong enough to deal with the loss and other times, breaking down at the absence of his voice.

In her latest Instagram post the podcaster reflected on the last couple of months revealing that she never thought that she would make it through to December.

“My biggest accomplishment this year is making it to December! 🙌🥂What is yours?

Despite the pain comes with the missing her eldest son, Lynn is seen confidently boasting a smile as she dazzles in a glittery black pants and yellow dress.

A few weeks prior she confessed that her pain is far from gone, and that there is still a lot of healing that needs to take place.

The proud mother of Kiernan and Steffan Forbes shared a post of herself, Kairo and The Supa Mega all dressed in matching pyjamas while enjoying their last Christmas together in 2022.

With Celine Dion’s Goodbye’s the saddest Word in the background Lynn captioned:

“They say it would get easier, that’s just not true for me. Why?”

Despite this, it seems the mother of two is continuing the family traditions by decorating the house with Christmas trees and trimmings well spreading the holiday cheer just as before, however, there’s no doubt there she will be thinking of the empty seat around the Christmas table.
