Bafana Bafana star, Lyle Foster has been in a good mood as of late, this is all thanks to his team’s recent form.

The 24-year-old who currently plays his trade in the colours of Burnley recently took to social media expressing tons of joy, after reflecting on what was a successful season for coach Scott Parker and his troops as they were recently promoted to return to the English Premier League.

In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram, Lyle wrote:

“Promotion Day, 100 points, 30 clean sheets, 16 goals conceded, and back to the Premier League. Record-breaking season. Grateful to be part of this amazing group, staff and whole team included,” he wrote.

Despite having suffered occasional injuries, he later added that he could not have asked for a better season, adding that it was the adversity that made them a lot stronger.

“Stronger next season. Thank you, God, for my beautiful family, girlfriend, friends, and everyone who supported me from day one. Still a lot to achieve.”

The last few years have been a whirlwind of a journey for the young international. This comes as his team and management previously opened up about him having struggled with mental health challenges.

The news, which first emerged in November 2023, has led him to take a break from football and also saw him miss out on the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) as he continued to seek counselling at the time. With the dark period now a thing of the past, he appears to be having a positive outlook on what lies ahead.
