L’vovo speaks on Lira’s support after suffering a stroke

by Limpho Nonkonyane

Kwaito star Thokozani Ndlovu, popularly known as L’vovo Derrango thanks singer and songwriter Lira for supporting him after suffering a stroke.

In 2022, both artists suffered from strokes whilst performing at their various gigs, and L’vovo was then put off performing for two years as it caused him to lose mobility for a while.

As per reports by entertainment publication, ZiMoja, L’vovo cancelled his 2023 Durban Cotton Fest performance due to his struggle with his speech.

Speaking on the kwaito star’s recovery musician Tzozo told the entertainment publication, “He has to work, but we wish there was a way our artists get taken care of when something like this happens”, adding, “I missed performing and getting a warm reception from the audience who love my music was amazing. But I am also taking my recovery one day at a time.”

Just two years after experiencing such as traumatic ordeal, L’vovo told news publication, TimesLive that Lira had been a pillar of strength as they both went through the same thing.

He said, “The words of motivation and encouragement from a person who has gone through what I’m currently going through mean a lot to me. Hopefully, we’ll meet and preach this gospel of stroke together because people are not familiar with it. But it feels good what she said to me.”

L’vovo also told the news publication that he was on a journey to recovery and hopes to one day educate the public on the dangers of strokes and how you can avoid not getting them, as your diet and stress levels may cause strokes.
