Thespians Lunathi Mampofu and Bonko Khoza will take their turn in entertaining South Africa as main characters on Mzansi Magic’s upcoming crime drama series titled Levels.

Lunathi, who is popular for her role of business tycoon, Zoleka Bikitsha on Inimba, has also played prolific characters on The River and 1802: Love Defies Time. She will now breathe life into the character of Detective Bongi Nkosi.

Bonko, who is known for his dual character of Banele and Sanele Magwaza on iThonga, is also renowned for his roles on The Wife, Mabaso Family Reunion and Red Ink. He will portray the character of Stephen Vilakazi.

Oozing themes such as crime, ambition and romance, this new drama series promises a gripping story in the crime world.

Levels follows the storyline of Detective Bongi Nkosi as she navigates a dangerous investigation, a complicated past, and a chemistry that could destroy everything. When top investigator Stephen Vilakazi is brought in to help crack a daring R1 billion heist, secrets surface, tensions rise and nothing is as it seems.

As Stephen starts connecting the dots, Bongi’s professional and personal life begin to unravel. She is not only dealing with a partner who’s watching her every move, but she also has a past that won’t stay buried and a growing attraction that could wreck everything. As the team closes in on suspects, the truth gets harder to hide…and even harder to survive.

Levels, from the multi-award-winning producer and writer Busisiwe Ntintili of Ntintili Factory, boasts a star-studded cast that includes Melusi Mbhele, Sikelelwa Vuyelani and Unathi Mkhize.

New Crime Drama ‘Levels’ premieres 7 September on Mzansi Magic starring Lunathi Mampofu and Bonko Khoza.
