Lorna Maseko hosts SA-inspired pop-up event in NYC

Celebrity chef Lorna Maseko has once again given American citizens a taste of Mzansi.

The SAFTA nominee hosted her Taste of South Africa pop-up event in New York City, serving entertainment industry big shots South African-inspired cuisines.

Taking to Instagram, Lorna shared, “Words cannot describe how incredible it was to host my popup, Taste of SA, in NYC? We were nestled at a cute venue in Little Italy and served South African food under the New York City skyline. ?.”

Sharing with her followers who was on her guest list, Lorna wrote, “It was an absolute honour to have the likes of Jesse Eisenberg, Sawyer Spielberg, Corey B, and more chefs and colleagues at the event experiencing my heritage and culture through food, wine, and flavour… Look out for more peeks into the lunch and dinner seatings, coming soon! ❤️.”

In June this year, the TV personality had her first Taste of South Africa pop-up event in Los Angeles, sharing snippets of the event on Instagram.

Among the auspicious guests in attendance was award-winning singer Omarion.

“I hosted my first pop up in Los Angeles, California, celebrating South African food and showcasing my beautiful country and heritage… It’s always been my goal and vision to take South African food to the world,” she wrote in her caption.
