
Following a stroke that nearly ended her career in the music industry, the multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Lira appears to be going from strength to strength as she continues the journey where she once left off.
It has recently been reported that the Feel Good hitmaker, real name Lerato Molapo, is scheduled to be the headlining act at Mzansi Music Sessions.
The event which is set to take place at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, on 27th July is scheduled to feature a whole list of prominent artists in the South African music industry.

Speaking on what the opportunity means to her Lira said that she is excited to perform again.
“After a two-year break to focus on recovering from the stroke, I am excited to be performing again with my band at the Mzansi Music Sessions.”
Revealing more on the event was executive director of Vertex Events, Thato Segaole who added:
“Magic Music Sessions is an impeccable production and solid event entity that we have built throughout the years. Attendees can expect nothing short of quality, professional, picturesque, and entertaining production.”
Lira made her return to the stage in May this year after 26 months of being out of action when she performed at the Bassline Fest.
Here she captivated the audience when she sang a popular South African favorite, Something Inside So Strong.
She later took to Instagram to share how much the moment meant to her.
“I never imagined I would be here […] Baseline Fest was just magical and it surprised me in terms of how well I did.”
