After garnering a reputation for keeping her private life as exactly that, legendary actress Linda Sokhulu recently took to the Relebogile Mabotja Podcast, where she opened up about a few things, including her decision to be childless.

The name Linda Sokhulu is one that is familiar to many South Africans who have been watching television since the early 2000’s, as the actress has become synonymous with powerful storytelling.

From her popular role as Cleo on Generations, to portraying Tumi on 7 de Laan, all the way to one of her most recent projects where she embodied Blondie Zondo on Isiphetho, Linda’s career has been a public display of talent and incomparable range as a storyteller.

Despite embodying these different characters and piquing the interest of viewers who are dying to know more about her personally, she has rather opted to live a more private life, where personal information is shared on a need-to-know basis.

However, the former Sokhulu and Partners actress recently sat down with Relebogile Mabotja for episode 24 of her podcast, where they discussed a range of topics, including navigating the media industry throughout the years, as well as more personal topics such as her decision to stray from the path of motherhood.

When speaking about her outlook on parenthood, she revealed that being a mother was just not something that was at the top of her priority list.

She also expressed that if being a mother is meant to be in her destiny, then she gladly will accept it.

“One thing that I know is that unlike some people who are parents and just waited for the moment to happen all their lives, it was not something that was pressing. I guess I always had a different interpretation of what being a parent is,” she said.
