Levi’s Africa officially launches curvy campaign with Nomzamo Mbatha, Buqaqawuli Nobakada and Lady Du in the forefront

Popular denim luxury brand Levi’s recently revealed that they would be returning with a new ambassador for their curvy range after working with media personality Thuli Phongolo in the 2022 collection. This year, the brand announced their latest ambassador as the latest recipient of the ‘Best African Actress Award’ at the Septimius Awards, Nomzamo Mbatha.

She will be joined by amapiano DJ, Lady Du as well as mixed media artist Buqaqawuli Nobakada who have both had an ongoing relationship with the brand.

“By collaborating with Nomzamo, Lady Du, and Ndalo, Levi’s highlights its dedication to building long-term relationships that resonate with their values and the values of its community. Levi’s Curvy is more than a campaign—it’s about celebrating the journeys of powerful women who embody the spirit of Levi’s,” the brand’s website explains.

In an effort to embrace and celebrate the different shapes and sizes of the curves that exist out there, the brand hosted a vibrant launch party, to officially kick things off. The event was evidently carefully curated for attendees to not only have fun but leave feeling empowered as well.

The venue was decorated accordingly with blue tones to match the different shades of the brand’s denim, with a plethora of activities to enjoy, such as a fun art-filled activity, as well as a curvy table talk that empowered women of different curve shapes and sizes. Of course, we can’t forget about the assortment of delectable food and drinks that were on offer. The combination of all these elements made for an enjoyable event, that succeeded in its mission of inclusion.
