Lerato Mvelase to star on ‘Marked’

Media personality Lerato Mvelase will showcase her acting prowess as one of the cast members of Netflix’s drama series titled Marked.

The drama series promises a gripping storyline, as it is set against the backdrop of a law-abiding cash-in-transit guard, devoted wife, and loving mother who is pushed to the edge when her daughter is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. With no other options, she makes a desperate choice to break the law, teaming up with a trusted colleague and a reckless newcomer. As the plan spirals out of control, betrayal and danger force her to cross lines she never thought she would.

The TV host, thespian and former cover star of BONA is known for roles she played on Home Affairs, The Wife and Isibaya. In the drama series set to premiere on July 31, she will play a mother-daughter relationship with Ama Qamata. The riveting series boasts a star-studded cast that includes Bonko Khoza, Sphamandla Dhludhu, Sdumo Mtshali, Mduduzi Mabaso, Natasha Thahane, Gaisang Noge, Linda Sokhulu, Desmond Dube, Jerry Mofokeng and Clementine Mosimane.

The storyline of the series is set to show the viewers how far morals can bend before they break, especially when faced with life-challenging situations.
