Renowned actor and comedian Leon Schuster has expressed how disappointed he is in the public for spreading false rumours that he has passed away.

The 72-year-old has been a hot topic in recent weeks. This comes after lifestyle magazine YOU, interviewed the Mr Bones star, where he revealed that he suffered a series of setbacks during the filming of the third instalment of the movie.

Leon, well familiar with his hilarious comedy pranks, was for the first time pictured looking quite distressed, highlighting that he injured himself after falling from a bakkie, during the filming.

He later explained that he had another accident on his way to the bathroom where he slipped and fell on his back, in the process injuring himself.

He then found himself bedridden and in need of another operation.

With his successive injuries becoming public knowledge, many took to social media platforms to share their well wishes to the local veteran ahead of his operation.

However, there were a few who later insensitively posted the word “RIP,” short for rest in peace.

Taking to social media Leon recently slammed those who have been spreading false news claiming that he is dead.

In a Facebook post, he wrote:

“I hear I’m dead again. What crazy head posts stuff like this? I will kick him there where he will never be able to have children again.”

“It’s not nice when your people call you and say, ‘I’m so happy to hear your voice.’ I’m a Cheetah, a cat, and this is the sixth time this has happened. Luckily a cat has nine lives, so at least I have three left!” he wrote.

He later thanked those who texted and called him with messages of concern adding that those were his true friends.

“Your love is etched on the table of my heart. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you and Thank you Dear Jesus that my life is in Your hands!”
