Leleti Khumalo joins new season of ‘Muvhango’

The legendary thespian, Leleti Khumalo will join Muvhango as they return for the new season, this was announced at the SABC2 Lives On event which was held in Fourways recently.

Leleti is known for her iconic roles in Yesterday, Sarafina and Imbewu: The seed, and now the award-winning actress will return on screens as Dr Ximba. The SABC2 soapie took some time off due to alleged delays from the channel about the contract renewal.

Muvhango viewers can anticipate the premiere of the 27th season on the 5th of August 2024.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page was an entertainment commentator known as Mlu, to share the news.

Another entertainment commentator who attended the event was Jabulani Macdonald, he took to his X page to share a brief extract of Leleti in action as Dr Ximba.

Veteran journalist who is also a writer of the drama series, Duma ka Ndlovu, took his time to address the audience about the return of Muvhango.

Other cast members who will make a return on the show are Lebo Tisane and Wiseman Zitha.
