Former Miss South Africa winner Liesl Laurie Mthombeni speaks on social media comments that claim that she is expecting.

Liesl, who married Musa Mthombeni back in 2021,went on a social media rant telling people to stop commenting on her weight and speculating if she is pregnant.

This rant comes after she and her husband posted pictures of a photoshoot they did to celebrate him officially becoming a Specialist Radiologist. The pageant winner has addressed these claims before on her Instagram but made it clear that this would be the last time.

In this video Liesel responds to screenshot of a comment insulating that she is pregnant she says, “Leave my womb alone and go grow your own baby in a lab,” adding that, “This culture of wanting to be seen or wanting to be the first person to break other people’s news is not on.”

She states the recent weight gain is caused by her being happy and because she has money. She responded to the commentator saying that they weren’t not a doctor to know this information.

Liesel posted a video on Instagram where she was candid about the issue surrounding pregnancy even confirming that she had just gained weight and wasn’t expecting. She exclaims the words, “LEAVE WOMAN’S WOMBS ALONE! And if you don’t agree with anything in this reel-Block me!! God bless.”

It can be disheartening to comment on a woman’s pregnancy without her announcing it, especially for those who struggle with infertility. Lisel advocates for these women.

Many Instagram users took to the comment section to support Liesl’s views with her husband saying, “Leave our womb alone !!!!! Pregnancy isn’t a group project.”

Professional dancer Bontle Modiselle commented: “And that’s that on that! I Hate that you’ve been pushed to this point but absolutely LOVE how firmly and clearly you’ve set these boundaries for yourself and ALL women. Thank you sis.”

Social media influencer and actress Amanda Du-Pont was in support of Liesl saying that people did not have a lack of boundaries when it came to commenting on socail media.
