Lamiez Holworthy urges people to stop asking her for money

South African DJ Lamiez Holworthy warns people to stop sliding into her DMs and begging for money.

The radio presenter took to her Instagram stories, where she voiced her frustration against those begging for money in her DMs. The DJ explained that she also has responsibilities to deal with and she worked hard to get the money.

“Haowa Mara waitsi. Please stop asking me for money. I too need the very money you’re asking for and don’t have it. I also have responsibilities. I too am stressed- we all live in this shitty economy. It’s hard for us all,” she wrote in her Instagram stories. 

The mom to be further revealed that some of these people ask for things like designer clothing and things that are not necessary. 

“The worst? When you guys ask for trivial things like designer clothing, for me to fund your parties and baby showers. None of those things are a necessity!”

“We all work hard for the little that we have, and when we don’t have we patiently wait our turns,” she concluded.

Mero FM radio host recently revealed that she had adopted 30 orphans and looked after them without any sponsorships since 2019. 

 Lamiez  also shared that she has finally found a place to build a home for the orphans. 

“We got very luck some time last year and are on the quest to fixing it up and give them [the children] their dream home,” she said.

“I have been blessed and lucky enough to finally find a space that we’ve slowly been transforming into a dream home for my kiddies, and I can’t tell you just how happy this makes me.”
