Lamiez Holworthy pledges to pay for a young boy’s tombstone

The rate of crime in South Africa continues to grow with no hopes of it being managed or stopped.

Digital content creator Gift Makoti shared on his social media pages that his family is going through hard times as they lost their 5-year-old nephew.

Taking to his social media accounts, he narrated the story, “My cousin was Hijacked hours ago in Soshanguve block Uu, they took his Bakkie. He was with his son, they shot the 5yr old boy!! He didn’t make it!! What has this country come to no?? That’s a CHILD man!!”

In a different post, he shared a statement from the family detailing everything that happened and thanked everyone for the continued support.

With a lot of people sending condolences to the family, South African DJ Lamiez Holworthy commented that she would like to pay for the young boy’s tombstone.

“I have no words. My heart breaks not only as a mother but as someone who is proudly Pretorian. This can’t be our norm- Ka hana. I’d like to pay for Ditebogo Jr’s tombstone.”

Gift also took time to appreciate Lamiez for the thoughtful gesture, he shared a post on X (an app formerly known as Twitter).

The family is still seeking justice for the young boy as they are still in the dark about the incident.
