DJ Lamiez Holworthy revealed that one of her dreams was to have her own orphanage and that dream came into fruition.

The mom to be has adopted 30 orphans and looked after them without any sponsorships since 2019.

In an Instagram video, the Mero FM radio host singled out her mother, siblings and husband South African rapper Khuli Chana as the people who helped her realise her dream.

“With a dream of always having my own orphanage, I adopted 30 orphans in 2019 and have taken care of them with zero funding and zero sponsors since,” she said during her Instagram video.

She shared that she has finally found a place to build a home for the orphans.

“We got very luck some time last year and are on the quest to fixing it up and give them [the children] their dream home,” she said.

“I have been blessed and lucky enough to finally find a space that we’ve slowly been transforming into a dream home for my kiddies, and I can’t tell you just how happy this makes me.”

On Tuesday, she surprised her children with school shoes and sneakers by Bathu. “Bathu are the people who have reminded me that I don’t have to walk this journey all by myself.”

Lamiez says she would like to protect the dignity of the children which is the reason why she has always shied away from posting about her orphanage.

“I’ve always shied away from posting about it in order to not only protect the dignity of my kids but also because my giving back has always been a direct way of communicating with God and my ancestors but even this can get hard when you’re doing it alone(with nothing but faith and help from my husband @khulichana01 my mom @imeldak20 and my siblings @lariezhholworthy who manages the place, my brother @lush_thechef and my best friend @olga.phaahla),” read the caption.
