Lady Du’s uZuma Yi Star reaches Gold status

Congratulations have been in order as Duzuduzile Ngwenya popularly known as Lady Du expresses excitement as her single, uZuma Yi Star reaches Gold status.

The singer revealed that the song has surpassed 1 million streams; another song of hers, Malunde has exceeded 400 000 streams.

The uZuma Yi Star hitmaker took to social media as she announced the exciting news, and disclosed that she will be dropping the first single off her debut album soon.

“Yho I just woke up nge proud moment, I’m super proud of these songs, zuma yi star just hit Gold, malunde is coming right after, they never had challenges, no promotion, no roll out plan. I thank you sooo much for your continuous support!!!! @spotify thank you for the continuous update. The first single of the album is dropping guys ???????? zizokhala this year,” she wrote.

The star also recently expressed excitement about her beauty salon which has become a success and another source of income.

The musician took to social media to reveal the front view of her beauty salon and the process that it took to get to where the salon is now.

In a lengthy caption the hitmaker says she put her music career on hold to achieve the dream of being a salon owner.

“For 3 months straight, I cut down on performing and focused on a project I’ve wanted my whole life, I bought a house and redesigned it into what I wanted! The spa/salon I’ve always wanted, as a qualified beautician myself I’ve always wanted a salon since I have the qualifications,” she wrote.
