Lady Du pens heartwarming note to Kairo Forbes

by Unathi Balele

Kairo Forbes’s performance at the 947 Joburg event touched many hearts including the heart of musician Lady Du.

Taking to Instagram, Lady Du penned an emotional note to Kariro saying that she touched her soul.

The 8-year-old sang her late father Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes’ song, she also later joined her mother DJ Zinhle on stage. DJ Zinhle performed her song titled Umlilo.

“I know you might not know me personally, but you have touched my soul little girl, seeing a little girl walk up a big stage to fill her dad’s shoes has literally made me cry soooo much. She’s strong, a brave young lady. I just want to wish you good health and wealth my child may God continue to bless you abundantly,” Du wrote.

“Sending all the angels to protect and give her strength to be the best child and sibling to her sister, we are proud of you and I know daddy is in heaven smiling,” she added.
