A young man from KwaZulu-Natal has garnered some attention after he took it upon himself to give his late grandmother’s lounge a complete makeover.
Deviating from his regular content, Sbo Makhanya, username @sboh_revaldo took to his TikTok to share a project he undertook to transform his late grandmother’s lounge. He shared a heartwarming video with the caption “I had to give my granny’s house a ceiling. Token of appreciation for my queen.”

In the video, Sboh shows himself hard at work cutting wood, cutting and hammering wood and knocking planks in place to give his late grandmother a new ceiling with the project taking him a total of two days. The complete look gave a luxurious feel to the lounge that was previously missing.
Other internet users were touched by Sboh’s thoughtful gesture and took to the comments to commend and congratulate him for it. Some even encouraged him to make a tutorial showing how he accomplished the final look.
Other users inquired about the total cost of the project.
“God bless you, brother. I hope Granny was happy to see it. Beautiful,” commented user @Mpilo Gumede, which Sboh responded to by saying “Thanks man. It’s for my late granny and I hope she’s happy wherever she is.”
