Kyeezi celebrates son’s first birthday days after horrific car crash

by Sergio Miller

Media personality Kyeezi has had lots to be grateful for following his recent near-death experience.

The charismatic radio personality commonly known as the tall wonder recently celebrated the birthday of his firstborn son. In a heartwarming post, he reflected on his first year of fatherhood and the rollercoaster of a journey it has been.

“23:58, you were born, just making it as a Taurus like your dad. When you arrived, the doctor said, ‘yho, this is a big boy’, I heard your first cry and the world I once knew, changed instantly.”

He emphasised that while the journey of fatherhood is something that he is still adapting to, one thing that he knows is that he will always be there to offer his support and provide nurturing and security whenever needed.

“Happy first birthday, my little guy. Dad loves you.”

In conversation with BONA earlier this year, the radio personality said that fatherhood has been the biggest blessing. He shared that he desires to one day make his son proud of how hard his father works.

“One of many good things that I would like to impart to him is: You can be great if you are consistent in your pursuit of whatever you may want in life.”

Given how precious this celebration has been to him, it is hard to imagine that just a few days prior, the GoodHope FM presenter escaped a near-death experience.

This comes after he was involved in a car collision, which led to his car being written off.

Documenting the traumatising ordeal on social media, he wrote:

“I was just in an accident in Cape Town. A hit and run incident where the other driver ran away, got out of the car and literally ran away. Police chased him as they were at the traffic light, but he got into another vehicle.”

He later managed to discover the identity of the driver through the documentation that was left behind in the vehicle and asked that anyone with information help track him down.
