Kwaito singer Professor turns to God

Kwaito legend and former Kalawa Jazmee artist Professor, real name Mkhonzeni Langa is said to be over his party days, living a life centred around God and the Lord’s word.

Many claim that the singer’s lifestyle changed after he met his wife, who he said was a private person and not in the limelight while speaking to a local publication.

According to close sources, the couple got married after dating for five years.

Not much is known about Professor’s Mrs but, local publication ZiMoja states that she’s a Johannesburg government worker who is originally from eNdwedwe, north of Durban.

As the singer was shooting a music video for one of his songs, the local publication revealed that a close source to the artist told the publication that he refused to have alcohol on the scene and turned away half-naked video vixens which they usually have in music videos.

Tabling what he wanted and did not want as part of his music video, the source further told ZiMoja that the Lento hitmaker shared that, “He doesn’t want things that Jesus did not offer him.”

The source went further to share that the singer has changed many of his old ways including frequent visits to the club scenes, which would sometimes be work-related. He is also said to share statuses about the Lord on his WhatsApp.

Detailing how visible the new transformation is, the source added, “It’s heartwarming to see such a positive change in someone who was once wild like Professor. He has truly become a different person.”
