Actress and social media personality Khanyi Mbau shares her recovery journey after getting plastic surgery.

As the reality star heals from her recent trip to Turkey for her upper blepharoplasty, lip lift and fox eye surgery, a cosmetic procedure done to remove sagginess under your eyelids, internet users feel that she has done enough.

Khanyi is not the only celebrity to go under the knife as many celebrities have shared or speculated to have had work done.

Online publication MDN News on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared a video of her explaining the type of surgery she did.

Speaking to news publication, TshisaLive, Khanyi shared, “We first need to understand surgery and self-love have no relation. People have tried to cushion their discomfort about what they feel is taboo by labelling their projections and saying surgery is a result of a lack of self-love.”

Despite facing backlash from online users for her surgery Khanyi expressed that her procedure had nothing to do with how she felt about herself, as she viewed cosmetic surgery as a form of self-expression.
