Television presenter and radio host, Anele Mdoda was recently stuck at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport when her flight had a major delay resulting in her sleeping at the airport lounge instead.

Anele shared a few videos on her X, (formerly known as Twitter) account, where she mentioned that they were supposed to be taken to a hotel but the airline said the hotel was very far from the airport.

They were also moved from one lounge since it was closing at 21h00 to another one that closed later.

The mother of one slept at the airport sharing another video when she woke up where she said people were at the airport with her got messages informing them that their flight was boarding, yet, she hadn’t received any communication.

Internet users shared their bad experiences with the airline with some vouching never to fly the Kenyan airline.

The airline support system took it upon themselves to respond to the former TV talk show host, commenting:

“@Anele, Apologies for the delayed response to your query. Could you please send us a direct message with your booking reference and more detailed information so we can assist you further? Thank you.”

Anele responded telling the airline to just let it be, she shared:

Shut it down Nono. Throw it away. https://t.co/3dZ0KTJ9kM

She also noted that she received messages from people confirming that the airline makes up stories to not accommodate passengers when experiencing a delay, adding:

Also the hotel story is a lie. I have no less than 15 people in my DMs saying you tell that lie to everyone about the hotel being too far and no time. You guys are lacking in ethics and are a bunch of liars. https://t.co/3dZ0KTJ9kM

Oh it gets worse. They can’t take us to the hotel because of some blah blah reason so we now have to sleep at the airport. They will serve us dinner by gate 21 at 10PM ???????? Kenyan Airways just throw the whole airline away
