Kelvin Momo celebrates milestone of reaching 30 million streams in one month

The 30-year-old South African DJ, music producer, and song composer Thato Kelvin Ledwaba who is affectionately known as Kelvin Momo had people in their feels and grooving to his beats and, melodies throughout the festive season. Numbers can attest to the craft of his pure art as he has reached 30 million streams within one month. 

The star dropped his recent album Kurhulani on 8 December 2023 as he released his highly anticipated third amapiano album. Kelvin’s presence and sounds have become quite iconic and pivotal within the amapiano movement as he has distinguished and acclaimed his unique sounds.

His sophomore album was the one that established his success as many were counting down the days to the release of his current album, Kurhulani. Following the release of the Kurhulani album, his fans have been grooving to every single banger while finely selecting their favorite. Many have deemed the album as the absolute highlight of their festive season. 

With features such as Babalwa M, Nia Pearl, Cnethemba Gonela, Sjava, and many other popular artists within the industry, people have confided in the sounds of Kelvin stating that the sounds are infused with healing properties. A fair selection of his fans has gone further to share that Kelvin’s sounds are quite notable and he may be on the path of creating a stellar genre of his own.

Due to the above-mentioned statement, fans can be found meditating on many songs within the album such as Kurhula, Uku Khanya, and Ikhaya lam. Through his pure craft, Kelvin has added a soulful sound to the pure art of amapiano.

Reaching this milestone, he took to Instagram to give gratitude to supporters and everyone who was involved in his album. “To every artist and producer who contributed to my album and to the KELVIN MOMO gang who continuously support my music, I would like to thank you and let u guys know that I appreciate each and every one of you. 30 million streams in just a month, it can only be God’s grace.”
