Premium Soccer League (PSL) team Kaizer Chief recently suffered another defeat, losing to Western Cape-based Stellenbosch FC, with a final score of 1-0 and upsetting team supporters.

Kaizer Chiefs has been on a losing stream for some time as the team last won a major title in May 2015. Their recent loss comes at a time when the team supporters were just ready to give up on the team that was once viewed as the best team in the country.

Among their recent losses is a match with Milford FC, a junior team in the first division of the Motsepe Foundation Championship. They also lost to Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby last month, suffering a final score of 3-2.

Their inability to score in the match against Stellenbosch did not sit well with many supporters, who were hopeful considering that their team had a lot more goal position than the Stellenbosch-based team. The Naturena boys also had more shorts at goals, with an 81% pass accuracy.

After the final whistle was blown ending the match, many soccer fans took to their social media to share their frustration on the Kaizer Chiefs social media page.

Users shared:

Truth be told the only thing left here is the name, I wonder are the Motaungs not seeing what we see as fans that there is no quality, structure, and direction in this team’s of the past years chiefs has been reduced to a small team. The motaungs should either consider selling…

Another user commented:

What’s the problem kahle kahle?? Do we have slow players who can’t take and execute the coach’s game plan or it’s unwillingness to succeed and lazyness?? Whatever it is, it’s costing the team a lot.
And it’s only gona get worst unfortunately. ?

Those supporters that keep coming to the games and participating in your marketing gimmicks are the real problem here ??
