Amapiano DJ and producer, Kabelo Motha popularly known as Kabza De Small had tongues wiggling recently after he failed to show up at the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival.
The Festival was held at Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg, with tickets ranging from R200 to R288 per person. Kabza De Small was among a jam-packed lineup for the show, which included Morda Bongz, Sjava, Nadia Nakai and Alaska to name a few.
Taking to their Instagram page, Basha Uhuru apologised to festival attendees and clarified that, the last communication they received from his team stated that; the Kabza Chant hitmaker was held up at the previous event he attended and he had a tyre puncture on his way to the festival.
Basha added that they tried to get hold of his team through the night, to no avail.

Disappointed attendees of the festival weighed in on the comment section,
One attendee said, “I’m such a big fan. I was really disappointed because we arrived early to get the front row, and he chose Kunye.”
Another one said, “He didn’t even come to feel sorry for his fans who sat in the cold weather.”
While one fuming attendee said, “This is probably the real reason you didn’t post the schedule. You actually had no idea what time one of your main artists would pitch and decided to gaslight festivalgoers into a fake go-with-the-flow vibe. It is extremely inconsiderate to have expected festival goers to show up not knowing who is going to perform during peak winter. As for this Kabza flat tyre story, it’s wild that this is something you find acceptable and reasonable to communicate to your festival goers. Do better and respect your supporters.”
