After so many years of being involved in the South African political sphere, it might be hard for some to fathom that Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters is only in his early 40’s.

The charismatic personality recently marked his 44th birthday this week and did not only use the day to celebrate himself but used it as an opportunity to give back to those in need.

Julius recently visited the Tembisa Child Welfare Society, where he donated R200 000 to the non-profit organisation to honour them for the work they do.

Sharing the moment on X (formerly Twitter) the EFF party applauded their leader for his selflessness highlighting that this was a moment of “unity and compassion”.

In a recent interview with TshisaLive, Julius shared that it was important for him to celebrate the day with those less fortunate to show them that they are loved.

“It’s important to celebrate this day with the less fortunate, including some abandoned children, to show them love and remind them not all is lost. There is someone who loves them, and Mama Velemina has taken care of them for a very long time. We are all following in her footsteps to ensure we help those who cannot help themselves.”

He later offered to continuously support them whenever they were in need.

The celebrations have not stopped here.

Later, the former ANC Youth League leader shifted the celebrations to his home, where he can be seen engaging in the festivities with his family, along with close family and friends in attendance.

As a family who enjoys music, his eldest son, Ratanang, can be spotted delivering the entertainment behind the DJ decks while those in attendance savour the moment.

Taking to Instagram Julius captioned: “Thank you the ground forces and commissars of our glorious movement, the EFF. The people of South Africa, Africa, and the diaspora, I received your beautiful birthday messages, and I want to thank you for such a wonderful message. My family means the world to me.”
