A new season of JR’s Feel Good Live Sessions – an innovative platform created by the renowned artist, songwriter, and super-producer, JR Bogopa – premieres next Thursday, October 17, offering viewers an up-close, unplugged experience with some of South Africa’s most celebrated musicians.

With new episodes dropping every Thursday, JR’s Feel Good Live Sessions promises to deliver raw, intimate performances that bridge the gap between the studio and the stage, giving artists the freedom to showcase their music in its most authentic form.

Premised on the idea that some things in life, and music, are worth more, Stella Artois has partnered with JR on four episodes of his Feel Good Live Sessions, including the first instalment featuring acclaimed Amapiano singer and songwriter, Daliwonga, who brings his smooth vocals and captivating sound to the show.

“The series has had a major impact on the culture and I’m honoured and excited to be invited by JR to perform on the Feel Good Live Sessions this season,” said Daliwonga.

JR reflects, “My aim with this series has always been to offer artists a chance to reveal their vulnerability. This not only allows them to express their artistry and music in its most authentic form but also provides audiences with a rare, intimate window into their creative journey.”

Other artists to be featured in the 14-episode series include SAMA Award-winning singer-songwriters, Shekinah and Langa Mavuso as well as Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter-producer and songwriter Manana, rapper Priddy Ugly, and singer-songwriters Azana and Phila Dlozi. Murumba Pitch, who have been credited with contributing significantly to the Amapiano music scene, also bring their distinctive catchy sound to the Feel Good Live Sessions stage on episode 3.

“We’re thrilled to partner with someone as gifted and influential as JR. His exceptional music career, combined with initiatives like Feel Good Live Sessions, represents something truly worth more. These sessions play an important role in the culture and entertainment industry, and we’re proud to join forces with him in elevating this,” said Estee Burger, Marketing Manager for Stella Artois.

JR’s Feel Good Live Sessions was filmed at the Kromdraai Co-creativity Hub, within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site outside Johannesburg.
