Jojo Robinson opens up about RHODurban after S5 wrap

by Staff Bona

The Real Housewives of Durban has ended its explosive fifth season, but the spotlight is still shining bright on the show.

The hit Showmax original has just taken home the Simon Mabhunu Sabela KZN Film and Television Award for Best TV Production, a well-deserved win for Let It Rain Films, the creative minds behind the show.

The show caught up with Jojo Robinson, a standout housewife who’s been part of the show since Season 2, to get her thoughts on the latest season.

Jojo, a self-proclaimed artist and tattoo enthusiast, is married to South African kickboxing champion Calven Robinson and is a proud mom to nine-year-old Rocco.

Apart from a few tough moments, Jojo enjoyed Season 5, particularly getting to know the new cast members. She reflected on her growth since her first season, saying, “I am literally a whole new person. I wouldn’t even know where to start. And I look forward to the growth that will come with everything that happened in Season 5.”

Jojo has gotten used to the attention from being on the show, saying it’s become “normal life” for her. She’s grateful to meet fans who love the show and has connected with several celebrities, including Khanyi Mbau, whom she loves and gets compared to being sisters with often.

Her favorite moments from Season 5 include her vow renewal with her husband in episode 1 and finding a way to a friendship again with Sorisha.

When asked about her hopes for the group moving forward, Jojo expressed her wish for peace among the cast members.

She also shared that she wishes for healing for herself and those who need it, and lastly growth.

If there was a Season 6, Jojo thinks it’s best to let the professionals decide on the cast members. When asked to compare Season 5 to a cosmetic procedure, Jojo jokingly said it would be a tummy tuck – “painful AF, but worth it in the end.”

With the show’s award win and Jojo’s candid insights, fans are eager to see what’s next for The Real Housewives of Durban. Will there be a Season 6? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – this show has captured the hearts of many with its drama, glamour, and unapologetic storytelling.
