For fans of classic R&B and neo-soul, the news has landed like music to the ears. Grammy-winning singer Jill Scott has officially confirmed that she will return to South Africa in 2026 as part of her global tour.

The beloved American artist will perform two shows in the country this November, bringing her powerful voice and poetic storytelling back to local stages. For many music lovers, it is a chance to see one of the most distinctive voices in modern soul perform live again.

Two major concerts for South African fans

Scott’s tour will make two stops in South Africa before wrapping up the international run.

The first show is scheduled for 7 November 2026 at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, followed by a second performance on 11 November 2026 at GrandWest Arena in Cape Town.

These concerts will form the final leg of her global tour, which begins in the United States and later travels through Europe and the United Kingdom before arriving in Mzansi.

Ticket presales are set to begin on 10 March, with general ticket sales opening the following day.

A new chapter with a new album

The tour is built around Scott’s latest studio project, To Whom This May Concern, released in February 2026. The album marks a major moment in her career, as it is her first full-length studio release in more than a decade.

Her previous album, Woman, arrived in 2015 and debuted strongly on international charts, reaffirming her place in contemporary R&B.

The new record includes nineteen tracks and features collaborations with artists such as Ab-Soul, JID, and Too Short, alongside production from respected names including DJ Premier and Andre Harris.

For fans, the tour promises a mix of fresh material and the songs that built Scott’s legacy.

A voice South Africans have embraced

Scott’s connection with South African audiences is not new. She last performed in the country in 2024 when she headlined the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival, where the crowd famously sang along to nearly every lyric.

At the time, the singer shared her appreciation for the response from local fans, describing the experience of hearing Joburg audiences sing her songs back to her as deeply moving.

That moment helped reinforce something many already knew. Jill Scott has a loyal following in South Africa, and her music continues to resonate across generations.

Mzansi’s growing list of global concerts

Scott’s return also adds to a growing lineup of international performers heading to South Africa in 2026. Big names are increasingly including the country in global touring schedules, a sign of how strong the local live music market has become.

On social media, fans quickly reacted to the announcement with excitement, with many already planning road trips between Pretoria and Cape Town to catch the performances.

For lovers of soulful storytelling, rich vocals, and timeless R&B, November may arrive with a little extra rhythm this year.
