Jason Derulo and Busta Rhymes set to entertain crowd at DStv Delicious Festival

Following the death of Tito Jackson, which resulted in his sister Janet Jackson having to withdraw as the headlining act at this year’s event – the organisers of the DStv Delicious Festival have managed to save fans some disappointment.

Earlier this week, many festival goers demanded to be reimbursed after the withdrawal of Janet, who decided to take this time to be with her family.

Luckily when one door closes, another opens up – and this was exactly the case as the organisers have managed to replace the popstar with two new headliners in the form of R&B and pop singer Jason Derulo and rapper Busta Rhymes.

Jason is no stranger to mzansi, over the last few months he has been spotted in Cape Town’s Crazy Store, purchasing footfalls for kids, took us on a tour of his rental home in Clifton and occasionally gets spotted dancing to many of our local amapiano hits.

Meanwhile, the Look at Me Now rapper, Busta Rhymes, knows how to take his fans on a lyrical rollercoaster.

TshishaLive reports that both artists will be taking the stage on Saturday.

According to the online publication The South African, the duo will be accompanied by several prominent local acts including Thandiswa Mazwai, Sjava, Khuli Chana, Cassper Nyvovest as well as the Soweto Gospel Choir.

It is here where late artists such as Riky Rick, HHP, Lebo Mathosa, Mandoza, Prokid, as well as AKA, will be celebrated in a series of tribute performances.

The event is set to take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg.
