Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma shares emotional message after Vuma FM contract termination

Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has officially closed a chapter in her radio broadcasting journey after her unexpected termination from Vuma FM.

The award-winning radio personality shared an emotional announcement on her social media pages, marking the end of her six-year tenure at the station. Jacinta’s contract was terminated without clear reason on July 15, 2025, leaving her stunned and her fans heartbroken.

On her last day, July 31, 2025, Jacinta’s colleagues and listeners rallied around her, showing their support and appreciation for her work.

She shared a heartfelt farewell message, saying, “Doing radio one last time. Goodbye to my first love. The sacrifice is painful, it hurts my soul, but I would do it all over again.” This poignant statement captures the emotional toll of her departure.

While the exact reason for Jacinta’s termination remains unclear, she hinted that her activism with the March for March movement might have played a role. Despite the uncertainty, Jacinta remains resolute, stating, “Watch this space. I’m not done. In fact, I’m just getting started.”

During her time at Vuma FM, Jacinta built a massive following and touched the hearts of many with her bold interviews, community advocacy, and fearless stance on social justice issues. Her legacy extends beyond the mic, inspiring resilience and courage in her listeners.

Fans and colleagues praised her professionalism and contribution to the industry, with some saying, “Vuma FM just lost a gem. You’ll shine wherever you go, Jacinta” and “Her voice gave power to our stories. She’s the people’s broadcaster”.

As Jacinta embarks on a new chapter, her fans eagerly await what’s to come. With her powerful voice and unwavering dedication to activism, she’s sure to continue making waves in the spaces she occupies.
