Jacaranda FM is thrilled to welcome Lucky Du Plessis to the team. He’ll be bringing his infectious energy to ‘The Weekend Breakfast Boost’ every Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 to 10:00.

“I’ve always believed that storytelling is at the heart of great radio,” Lucky said. “I’ve learned to connect with people emotionally, and radio has given me the perfect platform to do just that.”

Vuyani Dombo, Interim Managing Director at Jacaranda FM, shared the excitement. “Lucky is a perfect fit for our weekend line-up. His ability to blend entertainment, music, and genuine connections with listeners will bring a new energy to the station.”

Lucky’s path to radio is nothing short of inspiring. Born in the 90s and adopted into a white Afrikaans family, he faced many challenges growing up.

However, his resilience and determination helped him become the first black head boy at his Afrikaans school and earn a scholarship to a prestigious private school. These experiences shaped his career and fueled his passion for connecting with people.

Now, Lucky is ready to bring his unique energy to Jacaranda FM; so don’t miss out on the fun this weekend.
