“I’ve been physically, emotionally and financially abused” says Lebo Mokoena

Lebo Jojo Mokoena, previously known as Lebo Gunguluza is back on our screens following the airing of the RHOJ’s first episode, Friday on DStv OneMagic channel 103.

The first episode gave us a glimpse into the cast member’s lavish lives and their relationships. Cast members Lebo Jojo Mokoena and Lethabo LeJoy Mathatho, were the only season 2 members who returned this new season. The ladies shared details of their careers, family lives, relationships and what they enjoyed doing.

The first episode also saw Lebo and her brother speak of her former marriage to her name sake.

Lebo and her ex husband Lebo Gunguluza, were accused on season 2’s reunion by cast member Lethabo LeJoy of not paying service providers for their wedding.

Sitting on a couch with her brother, the two spoke of the reasons that led to her marriage’s failure. When her brother asked her, what happened?

Lebo responded, “It was a build up, there was a lot of things said behind closed doors”

The tv star and radio host added, “If someone breaks the person that you are and takes away from the person that you are, where you start questioning your worth.”

“I was definitely in an abusive relationship, I’ve been physically abused, emotionally abused, financially abused, you name them, I’ve experienced.

Lebo went on to share that mentally she was in a dark place as the thought of divorce was never something she imagined, she also shared that she’s now in a very good place.

The playful and bubbly Lebo also spoke of the importance of getting to know people’s background before getting together, adding that her father always says it’s important to know who raised the person you are getting into a union with.

The beautiful reality tv star also noted that she is currently in a relationship with someone.She commented, “It’s nice to date iintanga zakho (your age)” adding that old men can be really tiring. Lebo also added that soon after her divorced her life changed for the better.

Adding, “ I literarily felt like a dark cloud, but I had a conversation with myself where I was like, Lebo run.”

She also jokingly added that she might have also been given muti (a love portion).
