‘It doesn’t slap without Samthing Soweto’- internet users on Mas Musiq feature change

Did Mas Musiq switch things in his newly released album when he removed musician Samthing Soweto’s feature on Amalanga Awafani?

The music business has shown to become one of the shadiest businesses known to mankind as music executives stop at nothing to exploit or control their artists.

This recent song war seems to be far from over as DJ and record producer Thabo Ngubane, famously known as Mas Musiq removes musician and former The Soil band member Samthing Soweto from his album, ‘Lane Yam.’

We thought that after X (formerly known as Twitter) called to boycott the song last week all had been resolved between the producers and singer.

Mas Musiq recently took to X to announce his album drop that unfortunately had no sign of Samthing Soweto’s name as he replaced his vocals with Chely.

There’s what internet users had to say about this change:

Amalanga sounds so bad on that album 😬 it’s not hitting at all, never underestimate a vocalists impact on a house song, them also removing the lyrics just goes to show that Samthing Soweto really put his foot into that song.

Mas Musiq removed Samthing Soweto’s vocals from Amalanga Awafani? I don’t think they will ever work together after this.

The new Mas Musiq song is garbage without Samthing Soweto, the original song was the contender of the year!

Let’s admit Samthing Sowetos voice makes a difference. pic.twitter.com/tajWPOFdNc
