A heated feud has erupted between South African rapper Fifi Cooper and singer Naledi Aphiwe over an alleged stolen iPhone 16.

Naledi claims she left her phone in a bathroom at a recent event, and after a conversation with a rapper, who she didn’t name but is presumed to be Fifi Cooper, her phone was tracked to Alexandra township.

The rapper in question allegedly left the bathroom in an odd manner, sparking Naledi’s suspicion.

Naledi shared her story in a video, stating she placed her phone on the counter while washing her hands. She congratulated the alleged thief in a sarcastic tone, saying, “Enjoy your unearned iPhone 16”.

Many speculated that Fifi Cooper was the one accused due to Naledi’s subtle hints like mentioning that the celebrity walked into the bathroom, complimented her work, and then left walking backward, sparking her suspicion.

Fifi Cooper fired back at Naledi’s allegations, denying any involvement in the theft. She emphasised her seniority in the music industry, with 18 years of experience, and questioned Naledi’s motives, suggesting she was seeking attention. Fifi Cooper stated she didn’t leave the venue early and was one of the last to leave, contradicting Naledi’s claims.

The online community has been divided, with many siding with Fifi Cooper and criticising Naledi Aphiwe for her accusations. Some users have questioned the validity of Naledi’s claims, while others have defended Fifi Cooper, saying her explanation makes sense and the accusations are nonsense.

Naledi Aphiwe has faced public criticism in the past, particularly after being discovered by Chris Brown. She was involved in a heated moment with the public during a stage performance where the crowd hurled objects at her.

Additionally, she sparked controversy with her comments about the Shembe church, where young women marry older men, with many labeling her comments as disrespectful.
