Celebrities are known for flaunting their pricey watches, mansions, and car collections, however, it appears that mzansi is unimpressed with DJ Maphorisa’s car collection.

The award-winning DJ and record producer, whose real name is Themba Sekowe, failed to impress internet users when he displayed his car collection. In the video, antique models of cars ranging from BMWs to VWs are crammed into the parking lot. These cars are often referred to as gusheshe in several townships in South Africa.

With many public figures receiving a lot of online criticism from fans, it’s vital to remember that people tend to lean towards their taste, and while many internet users believe his car collection is outdated, it is his preference.

Controversial blogger Musa Khawula reposted the video on X (previously known as Twitter) of the car collection and received a lot of online criticism with users feeling that it could have been a parking lot with cars that didn’t belong to him.
