Internet users slam the latest episode of Mnakwethu

Internet users are up in arms on X (formerly known as Twitter) raising concerns about paedophilia following the latest episode of Mnakwethu, where a 34-year-old man is married to a 20-year-old woman.

Mnakwethu is a reality show hosted by polygamist Musa Mseleku that gives married men a chance to overcome the fear of introducing polygamy to their current wife or wives.

In the latest season four episode of the show, a 34-year-old husband referred to as Mr Mhlongo introduced a potential second wife, who he is alleged to have started dating while she was 16 years old. According to X users, both women were underage when they got with Mr Mhlongo, who they say groomed them.

One X user said they would like to lay a complaint with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA) :
