Internet users react to MacG’s surprise cameo on Shaka iLembe

by Zintle Mdaka

Popular podcaster MacGyver Mukwevho, better known as MacG, made a surprising cameo on the historical series Shaka iLembe, leaving many shocked and entertained.

The Podcast and Chill host made his brief appearance when King Shaka stick-fought the Qwabe King and subsequently conquered him. MacG was a staunch supporter of Qwabe alongside choreographer and dancer, Robot Boii.

This was a shocking element for netizens, and they expressed on social media platforms that their appearance was random and unexpected. MacG’s appearance is seen by many as a strategic move to draw even more viewers to the already popular show. Although MacG has never expressed public interest in pursuing acting, the stunt seems to have paid off as many anticipate to hear what he will say about his cameo on his podcast.

Shaka iLembe tells the story of the making of the iconic African King. Season 2 picks up as Shaka and Nandi arrive at KwaNobamba, where he begins his reign.

The cameo sparked widespread reaction on social media, generating strong engagement and conversation around the show.
