A lookalike of singer Cyan Boujee was trending across social media platforms in South Africa, with Mzansi shocked at the similarities between the two women.
Seldine Lucyanne Meintjies has captured the attention of music fans across the country for her uncanny resemblance to Cyan Boujee. Boujee, who blocked her on TikTok, grew tired of the constant DMs and comments saying how similar the two look.
Lucyannehas also been the victim of social media abuse as fans have made claims that she is trying to live the same life as Cyan, owing to her look and similar name, TimesLIVE reported.
Cyan, whose real name is Honour Zuma, has a similar stage name to her doppelganger’s second name, which has led Lucyanne to post her ID across socials to prove she isn’t lying. Seldine said she isn’t offended by the comments but does not want to live in Cyan’s shadow.
“I’m honoured to look like this queen but every time I trend here on TikTok it’s because of her and I appreciate it but it’s getting too much. Almost on every post someone will mention her,” she wrote.
“I wanted to say I’m aware of the similarities and we are not related whatsoever. I’m my own person. Everyone has that one person that looks like you. You just need to find them. It is normal having someone that looks like you but let’s not fall under their shadow, but absolutely love her. Thank you.” she added.
