It has barely been a full day since multi-award winning singer Bulelwa Mkutukana, famously known as Zahara has left this earth, yet internet users are already voicing their concerns over claims that her former record label TS Records owed her a lot of money for the time she was with them.

TS records was a recording company formed by politician TK Nciza and media personality Sbusiso Leope famously known as DJ Sbu.

Zahara has shared on many interviews that the company owed her millions from performances up to royalties.

In an interview with MacG on his podcast, Podcast and Chill with MacG, the Mgodi hitmaker shared that she TS Records still owed her money but she did not want to go to court and spend more money fighting them.

Zahara?

“TS Records still owe me (over R10m). They used to charge clients (booking fee) anything from R80k to over R120 000 for my performance. But they would only give me R15 000. Even that R15 000 would come after I begged them”.#RIPZahara DJ Sbu TK Nciza Mac G pic.twitter.com/ntZ94BfJyQ

Upon hearing of Zahara’s passing, social media users came for DJ Sbu dragging him for monies owed to the late singer.

Expressing their hurt, they shared:

DJ Sbu and TK Nciza took a talented, naive girl from the village and made her sign a record deal that she didn’t understand.

They used Zahara’s trusting nature to exploit her. She fell into a deep depression and became an alcoholic.

The music industry is EVIL!! #RIPZahara

Others shared that both DJ Sbu should not go to Phumlani village as they were not welcome.

Dj Sbu and TK Nciza must not step their feet in East London ePhumlani, Zahara died asking for her money, it affected her health situation,so they must not act holy and sh%t ,they must play far from our village

Nota Baloyi, a director at The Orchid which is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment came to DJ Sbu’s defence sharing that he won’t stand by and watch a black role model be destroyed over a  false narrative.

Them: Shut up, we want to blame DJ Sbu & you’re ruining our diabolical plan…

Me: Over my dead body!

Absolutely sickening the lengths some go to, to destroy a black role model. I won’t let you do it to me or anyone I love for that matter.

I’d say go to hell but you’re in hell!
