As netizens come to terms with the death of Mpho Sebeng other celebrities make headlines for different reasons, one of them being actress Natasha Thahane who got accused by internet users of being a clout chaser.

The announcement of Mpho’s death came after a statement was released by the family’s spokesperson which confirmed that he died in a car accident. This led many of his co-stars as well as production companies to share their heartfelt tributes in memory of the actor.

However, Natasha found herself being called out as people felt that her actions were uncalled for when she posted a screenshot of Mpho’s contact and her trying to reach him.

This would not be the first time a celebrity has done this stunt. A similar incident occured when Mbongeni passed away, Somizi posted their WhatsApp conversations which made internet users feel that he was looking for attention.

An X (previously known as Twitter) user posted a screenshot made by Natasha Thahane.

One user said:

Very self-centric and unnecessary. Also no need to post. Ai.

Another user called out the actress for posting on her but also related to her as sometimes it becomes hard to expect this during times of grief.

Her posting on social media is being dramatic, but I think most of us did do something like that, calling someone hoping what we heard wasn’t true

Another user commented:

????

and why does she have to hide the number ?
