Internet rooting for Makhadzi to win BET Award

Social media users are rooting for Makhadzi (born as Ndivhunzannyi Rallvhona) to win the BET Award.

The South African singer and dancer is nominated under the Best New International Act category.

The 24th BET Awards are set to take place on the 30th of June, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. BET Awards is a movement used to celebrate achievements in the entertainment, whilst honouring music, sports, television and movies.

Makhadzi is one of the few South Africans nominated including Tyla, Tyler ICU and Focalistic.

Taking to her Instagram, the Ghanama hitmaker shared the news and in her caption, she wrote, “From selling CDs in a street to BET. Please help me celebrate my BET nomination for viewer’s choice: Best New International Act….
May God help us to bring it home.”

Her comment section was flooded with congratulatory messages from both, supporters and industry friends.

The news was also shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by news medium MDN News. In their caption they wrote, “Makhadzi has been nominated at 2024 BET Awards for the “Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act” category.”
