Internet reacts to the song of the year

Many musical artists are filled with joy and excitement to have their songs announced as the Song of the Year in 2023 as this title is one many artists carry with pride proving that their hard work has finally paid off.

Social media users and listeners however, are not seeing eye to eye with the announcement as they continue to flood social media platforms with their own perspectives of who is more deserving  for the 2023 Song of the Year title.

Whilst others are impressed with iPlan by Dlala Thukzin being song of the year across 7 radio stations, others ahve expressed that the most deserving song is Mnike by Tyler ICU.

Here are the radio stations that announced iPlan as song of the year:

1. METRO FM
2. Radio 2000
3. Vuma FM
4. LigwalagwalaFM
5. Trufm
6. 702 Talk Radio Station
7. Gagasi FM

Dlala Thukzin took to facebook and shared a post thanking his listeners for the continued support.

Social media users and supporters were thrilled, sharing their congratulatory messages:

“Congratulations brazo and you deserve it???.”

Another social media user wrote that the song was also announced by SABC 1 , “7 Radio stations and SABC 1 ??????well deserved ❤️.”

Another social media user added that they knew and had hope that the song would be the song of the year:

“We Always Knew & Had Hope?????.”

The song’s music video is currently sitting on 9.1 million views on YouTube in 2 months of release.

Another social media user shared views on how Tyler ICU’s Mnike deserved to be son of the year but they are not sad that iPlan won.
