Internet reacts to Thabo Bester’s lawyer crying for fame

Facebook rapist Thabo Bester’s lawyer, Lerato Moela says that the fame he has is what he always wanted after he represented Thabo in court.

In 2018, Lerato graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Laws degree. He was later admitted as an advocate of the High Court of South Africa and became a member of the Duma Nokwe Group of Advocates in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Even after all his academic accolades, Lerato’s desire to be famous grew as his tweets from 2022 resurfaced after internet users saw him on TV representing Thabo Bester.

Taking to Facebook, the advocate said; “I just want to be famous and I am unapologetic about it. I tried Venda rap, soccer, and Accounting. LLB is going to make me a celebrity lawyer. Please ask them to televise it when I appear on TV.”

According to news publication, IOL, Lerato started representing Thabo after he was left by his previous lawyers due to non-payments and not being able to speak to their client whilst he was detained in Pretoria.

Speaking to the news publication, the advocate shared that after Thabo’s rant over his prison conditions and fixing transport issues on how his client is taken from Pretoria to Bloemfontein where the matter is being heard.

X (previously known as Twitter) users took to the comment section to share their thoughts on Lerato’s outcry to be famous.

He was famous before the Bester case. He took Wits to court during lockdown.He represented Jacob Zuma n the case was broadcasted on TV.
