If there’s one thing to admire about Gareth Cliff, it has to be the fact he does not shy away from giving his most honest opinion, however, his most recent ahead of the elections have raised several eyebrows.
The radio presenter and former Idols SA judge has recently left many people stunned after sharing a tweet highlighting that he would not mind voting for Jacob Zuma’s Mkhonto WeSizwe (MK) party.
The tweet came as a preference on which political party he preferred in which he stated:
“If you gave me only a choice of voting for Rise Mzansi, ANC, Mkhonto weSizwe or EFF ; I would vote for MK. I’m not joking.”
Taking to the comment sections many locals appeared to have been baffled by Gareth’s preference, particularly given the fact that their party leader Jacob Zuma has been at the forefront of many of the corruption scandals that occurred during his presidential reign.
This ultimately affected the collapse of many State-Owned Enterprises.
Aw, poor you. Did Rise hurt your feelings that bad? You now must throw a tantrum and threaten to vote MK? Good luck with voting for MK or whoever you are voting for. No one truly cares what you do with your vote. Vote for a cat as President if you like & still, no one will care.

I wouldn’t vote, they are all criminal parties.

I would abstain. Not joking either.

Meanwhile there are others we felt that South Africa needed change, and supported Gareth, highlighting that the new parties should be given an opportunity to prove themselves
It is not the first time the podcaster shared his admiration for the newly formed party.
In February this year, he praised the MK party for their policy, claiming that it is much better than both the ANC and EFF.
Better than any ANC or EFF policy I’ve heard… https://t.co/EZp3dX00kf
