Controversial music executive Nota Baloyi has once again experienced uproar from the internet following a recent post in which he claimed to have made attempts to give the renowned footwear brand Drip the best chance of surviving collapse.
Earlier this week Lekau Sehoana, CEO of the popular sneaker brand made the decision to part ways with hundreds of workers as the company had gone into liquidation.
In a letter issued to workers, he said: “Kindly note that the business has taken every measure to attempt and avoid the liquidation process. Unfortunately, this was an eventuality that could not have been avoided notwithstanding the measures considered by the business.”
This has led to several stores being affected and company assets being sold to cover outstanding debt.
Touching on the matter Nota recently took to X (formerly Twitter) highlighting his involvement in the matter as he attempted to save the company from this fate.
In his post, he wrote: “Kids love Drip, it had a fighting chance… I tried to help save it!”
But while Nota may have meant this in good sentiments, those who are well familiar with his nature quickly became irritated by his post.
Many people later took to the comment section highlighting how ironic it was that he always seems to be the one who appears as the saviour in everyone’s downfall.
