Internet detectives suggest Busta Rhymes is laying low in SA amid Diddy case

The passing of Janet Jackson’s brother, Tito Jackson turned out to be a blessing in disguise for actor and rapper Busta Rhymes as he was called to replace Janet at the highly anticipated DSTV Delicious Festival as the headliner. Although pulled off on the 13th hour, the performance was everything and more, including the likes of Jason Derulo and other local talents.

Since his arrival in Mzansi, the ‘Touch it’ hit-maker has been seen living his best life, enjoying everything South Africa, specifically Johannesburg has to offer, such as experiencing the night-life and kicking it with the likes of Heavy K, who has revealed that he is exposing Busta to three step music.

Just a few days into his stay, he took to his social media to let South Africans know that they should not take so long to bring him back again, jokingly revealing that he is in the process of obtaining his South African citizenship.

Although a substantial amount of people welcome the idea of the American rapper settling down on South African shores, some have put on their detective hats and are wondering whether he is not using South Africa to evade unnecessary and unwanted attention from the police back home, since he was known to be close friends with Diddy, who is currently in hot water with law enforcement.

Others have made it clear that they have no issues with the rapper obtaining his citizenship, as long as his name has been cleared from the current scandal.
