Internet calls for Senzo Meyiwa’s case to speed like AKA’s

The latest update on the arrest of six murder suspects in the Kiernan “AKA” Forbes murder case has left some internet users feeling that Senzo Meyiwa’s case should receive the same attention from the South African Police Services.

The Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper met his demise during an alleged home invasion at singer Kelly Khumalo’s home in Vosloorus. Kelly was Senzo’s girlfriend at the time of the murder. It has been a decade since the tragic incident occurred and the case is still pending, there were arrests made and currently, there’s an ongoing trial with no convictions secured to date.

Only a year after his death, AKA’s case has seen six people implicated in the murder, ranging from the mastermind, the coordinator, and the ones who pulled the triggers that not only led to the rapper’s death but also his longtime friend Tebello Motsoane.

Taking their frustrations on the slow pace the case is going considering that in October, the case will be a decade long, internet users shared their opinions on social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, commenting:

Referring to the Royal Police Service of Eswatini, who were reported to have arrested two suspects linked to the rapper’s murder by their local newspaper, one users commented:

Give the Senzo Meyiwa case to Swaziland , Maybe something can happen.

Other’s expressed how much faith they have in the country’s justice system, commenting:

I’ve personally given up on his justice cause even today, justice for Senzo Meyiwa hasn’t been served. For all we know the same guys who shot our Superstar may be long shot & buried. AKA’s family should’ve hired a P.I immediately when the incident happened. #JusticeForAKA
