Media personality Hulisani Ravele is leaving radio 947.

The star has been the host of the weekend morning show on Primedia’s 947 for the past few years.

In August 2023, Hlulisani announced that she would be taking a sabbatical from the airwaves and television screens to embrace stillness, introspection and the pursuit of new opportunities. In the statement, she also announced that her last show on 947 would be on the 30th of September 2023.

During her last show, Hulisani talked about not really knowing what October had in store for her. She just felt like it was time to take a breather and figure out what her next move should be.

“I’m happy it’s here, I’m excited it’s here. I’m nervous. I need stillness, I need peace, and I know I’m going to find an even greater me within that stillness, and that’s why I’m taking a break. I need to find myself within it again. I need to know what 35-year-old Hulisani wants for herself, and the future of her broadcasting career,” she said.

“947 has been such a dream come true. I call it the Champions League of radio, this is the best of the best, and I leave here with incredible memories and incredible friendships … I am so scared to stand still. So often you are just a number, you just keep going but you are not.”
