‘I was swallowed by this demon called drugs you understand. Those pictures were taken from a clip which I did you understand, because I was given a platform by Julius Malema just to convey a positive message to the youth for June 16.’

He continued to say after Julius’ people reached out to him to speak to the youth, he was then compelled to speak the truth because he didn’t like what was happening around him as well as the person that he was becoming.

‘I didn’t like the man that I saw in the mirror, I was like this thing is killing me you understand. I was like let me just swallow my pride and cry out for help, which happened.’ he said.

Innocent that he has spent more that R500 000 on his drug addiction and that’s why he told himself that when he leaves rehab, he wants to reach out to suffering addicts.

The actor also mentioned, that he had gotten to a place where he could see that drugs were messing with his life, considering that he had attempted to quit many times but unfortunately was unsuccessful.’I didn’t have enough information about rehab and available programmes.  Fortunately for him, after the video went viral he was able to receive help.
